The SIM WARD Mission Breakfast

SIM WAMO

Why Organize SIM Mission Breakfasts in Your Country?

As part of our intentional effort to mobilize the West African Church for global missions, the West Africa Regional Director Team is leveraging a strategic engagement tool known as “Mission Breakfast.” This event serves as a platform to introduce and create awareness about SIM—its history, purpose, and mission and ignites a desire to partner in global evangelism.

We recognize that many churches and believers in the region are unfamiliar with who we are and what we do. Through Mission Breakfast, we invite pastors, church leaders, mission agencies, and other stakeholders to a focused gathering where they are meaningfully introduced to SIM and the vast opportunities for partnership in global mission sending.

If there’s a church in your network with a heart for global evangelism, eager to partner in sending workers to the harvest, we’d love to hear from you.

Why SIM Mission Breakfast?

The Mission Breakfast is not just an event – it’s a bridge to deeper collaboration and partnership. Here is why hosting this event would very much impact the mobilization of missionaries:

  • A platform for engagement: The breakfast offers church leaders and pastors a relaxed environment to learn about SIM’s mission, ask questions, and have a beginning conversation about how to partner with us in sending workers into the world.
  • Affirms the relationship with the church: It is our goal to mobilize the global harvest by building deeper, long-term relations and towards a more practical approach to the partnerships with churches.
  • Showcases SIM’s work and opportunities for involvement: The breakfast gives an introduction to SIM, making people aware of its mission efforts while also providing the chance to share practical steps on how churches can get involved in sending missionaries.
  • Distribute materials: We’ll be distributing copies in print for the AFRIGO magazine and other resources so that church leaders understand even better our vision and the strategic need of more workers into the harvest field.

The Impact So Far and What Next

The mission breakfast represents a broader strategy towards mobilizing West African churches, to reach them directly with global evangelization efforts. The success of the first Mission Breakfast in Ghana, held on December 2, 2022, marked the beginning of this strategic initiative. It gave church leaders an opportunity to learn about SIM’s history, successes, challenges, and needs.

Where you come in: As Directors you are to identify churches in your country that would be interested to host the SIM Mission Breakfast. Look for churches that:

  • Are passionate about missions or are seeking to strengthen their involvement in global evangelism.
  • Are open to building lasting partnerships to send and support missionaries.
  • Might be able to benefit from the information, resources, and relationships that this event will engender.

Each of these events will be organized with the WARD team and individual SIM entities across the region.

Next Steps:

By mobilizing the West African Church, we can inspire active participation in God’s global mission, sending workers and witnessing lives transformed across the world
